Finding meaning in offbeat art, music, and culture

If I'm going to add to the glut of online content, I may as well do it right. This Substack will be a monthly collection of of musical recommendations, short film selections, interesting articles on a range of subjects, and my own thoughts on the themes that tie them all together. The common threads will hopefully be enthusiasm, care, and wonder.

Ideally, think of a mix between the happy mutants at Boing Boing, the hyperlinked thoughtfulness of Brainpickings, and the cultural omnivorousness of Kottke. Lofty targets to aim for, but why not aim high?
